Requirements

• At least 1.5 - 2 YEARS relevant experience in restaurant/ hotel/ cafes.
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
• 6 days work week
• Willing to work long hours in kitchen environment
• Must be able to work weekends and public holidays
• Own Transportation
• Good attitude, willing to learn and work with a team or individually

Responsibilities

• Manage to run kitchen systems (SOPs, food & safety standards, deliveries, stocks etc)
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene
• Maintaining food quality and standards
• Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
• Able to set menu items, improve them, and execute them
• Food cost, wastage and stock controls
• Daily mis-en-place
• Update on new products/ recipes/ preparation methods
• Preparation of standard recipes & constantly creating new menu items of high standards
• Lead and work well with kitchen staffs or service staff if necessary, effectively and efficiently
